Contractor Finance Applications

Real People offers you a comprehensive financial solution for all your home improvement material and labour.

You choose your supplier and we provide the finance to pay your supplier.

You have the convenience of paying your supplier in phases over the first 6 months of the loan period, to suit your home project requirements.

Your instalment amount is calculated only on the portion of the loan amount paid to your supplier.

Once the six-month mark is reached, the final instalment amount is calculated on the amount owed at the time, and will be a fixed instalment amount until the loan is fully repaid.

Application process

STEP 1: Choose a reputable supplier for your home project
STEP 2: Complete the online application
STEP 3: Submit your supporting documents to applications@rfhf.co.za
STEP 4: Once approved, submit the supplier invoice and loan authorisation number to realcare@realpeople.co.za
STEP 5: Real People will pay your supplier directly for your material and labour, while you pay your monthly instalments to Real People over the agreed loan term.

What you need to apply:

  • Valid SA ID or driver’s license
  • RICA Registered Cellphone number
  • Payslips and bank statements:
  • Your most recent pay slip and bank statement showing latest 3 salary deposits; OR
  • Latest 3 payslips; OR 
  • 3 months’ bank statements (if you are self-employed)
  • Quotation from your chosen Supplier*

    *The Supplier must be VAT registered

You can apply if:

  • You are permanently employed, self-employed or employed under contract
  • You earn a salary of at least R 2 000 per month & have your salary electronically deposited into a bank account
  • You are between 18 & 64 years’ old
